Elaine Lebar

Elaine Lebar studied piano with Paul Wittgenstein, the concert artist whose successful musical career continued despite the loss of his right arm in World War I. Although she did not study one-hand music with him, she became intrigued with the technique demanded by such performance and has composed several solos for one hand, in addition to more traditional piano and vocal music. Her music degrees are from Brooklyn College, University of Missouri, and Conservatory of Musical Art in Manhattan.
