Italo Taranta

Italo Taranta has won several awards as theory and composition teacher at the Settlement Music School in Philadelphia, where he taught for over 25 years. He has lectured and conducted choirs at MENC Conferences and his Settlement Music Choirs have performed with the Philadelphia Symphony Orchestra. Mr. Taranta has three children and six grandchildren and resides with his wife Jean, a Friends' School librarian, in Drexel Hill, PA.
