John Robert Poe has concentrated on exploring superior music teaching methods for over 4 decades. These explorations have been part of a successful career that has found him in public school work, conservatory teaching, and his favorite for many years, an independent music studio. Poe's teaching encompasses many different avenues of music exploration such as the use of rhythm instruments of every description from special scores that he creates. Older students work in groups on advanced repertoire and all students create music. Poe's compositions are as well known for achieving good results with students as they are for imaginative content.
