Mary Sallee

Mary Sallee resides in Norman, Oklahoma, where she owns and operates Sallee Piano Studio. She composes and arranges both solo and ensemble literature for her students, a majority of whom are adults. Mary also freelances as an accompanist and jazz pianist, and enjoys conducting and arranging choral music. As a member of the Sallee-Hatley Piano Duo, she performs throughout the state promoting two-piano music. Miss Sallee received her classical music training at the University of Oklahoma, where she earned a master's degree in piano performance and pedagogy and double bachelor's degrees in piano performance and vocal music education. While at O.U., she studied piano with Ed Gates and pedagogy with E.L. Lancaster and Jane Magrath. In 1983, Mary was awarded a Rotary grant to spend a year studying music in Vienna, Austria.
